Dynamax
Grow enormous for three turns, anywhere on the map
Dynamax is a powerful feature in our Cobblemon server that allows certain Pokémon to grow to an enormous size and gain enhanced abilities during battle. When a Pokémon Dynamaxes, it receives a huge boost in HP, and all of its moves become Max Moves with additional effects.
Dynamaxing can only be triggered once per battle, and it lasts for 3 turns. This mechanic introduces a strategic layer to PvE and PvP, as choosing the right moment to Dynamax can turn the tide of any fight.
The Dynamax Band
To activate Dynamax in battle, you must be wearing a Dynamax Band in your offhand slot.
This item connects your Trainer with the mysterious energy of the Dynamax Candies, allowing you to call upon Dynamax energy during key moments in combat.

You can Dynamax anywhere
In the games, Dynamax only works standing on a Power Spot. Here it works anywhere, so you never have to go looking for one.
Power Spots still exist and are still a real place you can find. You are simply not required to fight inside one.
Dynamax Level
Dynamax Candy raises a Pokémon's Dynamax Level, and the level is what decides how much HP it gains while Dynamaxed. Feed one and it tells you the new level.
There is a cap. Once a Pokémon is maxed out you get "Your pokemon has max dynamax level" and further candy is wasted, so check before feeding a stack.
Gigantamax
Gigantamax is separate from Dynamax. A compatible Pokémon has to unlock it first, and it does that by eating soup.
| Item | What it does |
|---|---|
| Max Mushroom | The ingredient. Smells strongly of Gigantamax energy |
| Max Soup | Made from mushrooms. Unlocks the Gigantamax potential of a compatible Pokémon |
| Sweet Max Soup | A tastier variant, preferred by certain Pokémon |
| Max Honey | Can trigger Max moves, and is also used to make soup |
The game tells you either "Your pokemon can gmax now" or "Your pokemon can no longer gmax", so you always know where a Pokémon stands.
Not every species can Gigantamax. The list is fixed by the species, not by anything you can do to it.
Dynamax Raid Rewards
By participating in Dynamax Raids, special high-difficulty encounters, players can earn valuable and rare items based on their performance and final ranking. These raids offer both a challenge and a chance at powerful loot.
Possible rewards include:
- Max Soup, which lets an eligible Pokémon gain the ability to Gigantamax if compatible.
- Wishing Star, a mysterious stone said to grant Pokémon the power to Dynamax when embedded in a Dynamax Band.
- Dynamax Candy, used to increase a Pokémon's Dynamax Level.
- Max Mushroom, the ingredient for more soup.
None of these are craftable, which is why raids are the way in.
Additional notes
- Not all Pokémon are compatible with Dynamax or Gigantamax.
- More Dynamax items and features will be added in future updates.
See Trainer Gear for the short version of what to carry for every gimmick.
