Trainer Gear

The device each gimmick needs, and which ones you can craft

Every gimmick on the server works the same way: your Pokemon holds the power item, and you wear the device. Miss either one and nothing happens in battle.

This page is the short version of what to carry. Each gimmick has its own page with the details.

The device you wear

You only need to own one of these per gimmick, and it goes in your offhand.

Gimmick Device you wear What your Pokemon holds
Mega Evolution Mega Bracelet, Mega Ring or Omni Ring The matching Mega Stone
Z-Moves Z-Ring or Z-Power Ring The matching Z-Crystal
Terastallization Tera Orb Nothing
Dynamax Dynamax Band Nothing

The Omni Ring is worth knowing about: it is a single device that supports several of the battle features at once, so it saves you swapping bracelets between fights.

What you can craft, and what you have to find

This is the part that catches people out. The devices are craftable. The power items are not.

Craftable at a normal crafting table:

  • Mega Bracelet, in six colours, plus the Mega Ring and the Omni Ring
  • Z-Ring and Z-Power Ring, in six colours
  • Tera Orb, and the Tera Pouch in every dye colour
  • Dynamax Band
  • Ability Capsule and Ability Patch
  • Eject Pack, and the Electric, Grassy, Misty and Psychic Seeds

Not craftable, so they come from raids, crates, spawns and events:

  • Every Mega Stone
  • Every Z-Crystal, both the type ones and the Pokemon specific ones
  • Every Tera Shard, including Stellar
  • Wishing Star, Max Mushroom, Max Honey and Dynamax Candy
  • The Red Orb and Blue Orb, and the rest of the form change items

The rule is easier to remember than the list: if it makes a Pokemon stronger, you earn it. If it just lets you press the button, you can build it.

Common mistakes

Nothing happens when I click the button. The device has to be in your offhand, not just in your inventory.

My Pokemon holds the stone and it still fails. Check it is the right stone. A Charizard holding Blastoisinite gets "Incorrect/No MegaStone", not a Mega Charizard.

It worked in one battle and not the next. Mega Evolution and Primal Reversion are both limited to one per battle. See Mega Evolution for what that means in a team fight.

I want to Terastallize and it says I need more. Terastallization spends Tera Shards of the type you picked. See Terastallization.
