Fusion Items

The items that merge two Pokemon into one

Some legendaries are not caught, they are built. These items merge two Pokémon into a single stronger one, and every fusion can be undone.

None of them are craftable. They come from raids, events and exploration.

Necrozma

Item	Fuse	Result

Kyurem

The DNA Splicers fuse Kyurem with Reshiram or Zekrom.

The same item splits them apart again.

Calyrex

The Reins of Unity join Calyrex with one of its steeds. The item has two states, Inactive and Charged, and it charges when the pairing is ready.

Zygarde

Zygarde is the odd one out. Instead of fusing two Pokémon, you feed a Zygarde Cube with cells and cores collected around the world.

The cube has three states: Empty, partially filled, and Filled.

How it goes wrong, and what the messages mean:

Message	What it means
Put your zygarde in the cube	The cube is empty of Zygarde
Cube already has a zygarde	One at a time
You already have 5 cores	The core limit is 5
You don't have enough cells/core	Keep collecting
You need a zygarde with power-construct	The ability matters, not just the species

That last one is the one that catches people. A Zygarde with the wrong ability will not reassemble, no matter how full the cube is. You need one with Power Construct.

The Reassembly Unit is the machine that does the work. If someone else is using it you get "Machine is currently in use", so wait your turn.

Common to all of them

Every fusion here is reversible, so nothing you do with these items is permanent. Splitting a fusion gives you both Pokémon back.
